Specialised support for young people (18+) and adults living with chronic and long-term physical illness or health conditions

Trying to manage your health while juggling daily responsibilities can feel exhausting, overwhelming, and incredibly isolating.

Maybe you're dealing with the unpredictability of symptoms, feeling guilty for needing help, or carrying the weight of feeling misunderstood. It’s a lot—and it’s okay to acknowledge that.

You don’t have to carry it all on your own. Support is here!

Does your chronic health feel like it’s running your life?

I’m Claire, a Bristol-based therapist who supports individuals living with long-term physical health or chronic health conditions to make sense of the emotional and mental impact of their experience.

Together, we’ll explore how your condition affects your daily life, relationships, and sense of self, creating space for healing, resilience, and personal growth.

My aim is to support you in creating a life that feels meaningful, one that’s shaped by you, not just your condition.

Claire Bosanquet, counsellor working with clients who experience chronic health conditions, in Bristol and online.

Helping individuals navigating life with a long-term health condition

Understanding the impact: Managing a chronic condition can take a toll on mental health, leading to feelings of anger, denial, fear, or depression, especially when newly diagnosed or adjusting to an ongoing condition.

Navigate life with a long-term health condition: Beyond physical symptoms, chronic illness often affects self-esteem, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.

Connecting with someone who truly understands these challenges can help you feel supported and empowered.

Whatever has brought you here, working with me means having someone in your corner who truly listens, understands, and helps you uncover new ways to approach life’s challenges. Therapy is a space to feel heard and supported, at your own pace, so you can move toward greater wellbeing and growth.
