How I work:
As an integrative therapist, I am informed by different approaches and draw from models such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and compassion-focused therapy, I adapt my methods to meet your unique needs, recognising that each person’s journey is different. By considering your emotional well-being, relationships, and environment, I take a holistic approach to support you in different areas of your life. This means we can explore your experiences from multiple perspectives, helping you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful change in a way that feels right for you.
Therapeutic approaches I use:
I draw from several therapeutic approaches to tailor our work to your needs, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): For exploring and shifting unhelpful thought patterns.
Compassion Focused Therapy: For fostering self-kindness and reducing self-criticism
Attachment Based Therapy: For understanding relationship patterns and emotional bonds.
Psychodynamic Therapy / Relational Psychotherapy: For exploring how past experiences affect your present.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: For practical, goal-oriented change.
Inner Child Work: Connecting with your younger self and healing childhood wounds.
Mindfulness: For Grounding
*All modalities have a person-centred focus
Specialising in long-term health conditions:
Living with a chronic condition can affect every part of life—your self-esteem, relationships, and mental health. I’m passionate about supporting clients who are navigating the emotional challenges of long-term health difficulties. Social isolation
The impact on relationships
Health-related anxiety
Other areas I work with:
Anxiety, depression, and stress
Work-related stress
Panic attacks and phobias
Low self-esteem, self-worth, or self-belief
Perfectionism and critical inner voice
Relationship challenges
Past experiences affecting your present
Feelings of isolation, loneliness, or unfulfillment
Self-sabotaging or self-defeating behaviours
My First session:
In our first session, we’ll explore your current challenges and what you’re hoping to achieve from therapy. We’ll also review the counselling agreement, giving you a chance to ask any questions about my practice or how I work. Together, we’ll begin identifying your therapy goals and discuss any potential risks to your wellbeing, as well as the support network you have in place. From there, we’ll start working collaboratively toward positive change and personal growth.
